{ Merry Christmas }

I want to wish you all a wonderful Holiday!

I will be taking some much needed time off so that I can spend some uninterrupted time with my family! I will still be checking emails and phone messages...new client inquiries will be answered after the new year.

Enjoy and I look forward to seeing all of you in 2010!!

{ Tree Hunting }

In case you are not in the Holiday Spirit yet, I wanted to post these images of a Tree Hunting Session. Little B was so cute and fun! The cold did not bother him in the least, as him and mom and dad searched for the perfect tree.

These images are a great example of a candid lifestyle photo session. Each image is great in its own way, but when displayed together on the wall or shelf tell a story.

I am currently scheduling in to February 2010, so give me a call to book your session!

{ Fun at the Capital! }

This family was a blast to work with! They were willing to just let loose and have fun, and it shows in their pictures. I met them at the Capital, they all donned their winter coats, hats, and mittens, and I must say they all looked so darn cute. We played around, I had them jumping, running, throwing snow at each other...although there was not too much snow to be found a few weeks ago :)

Enjoy these fun winter images, and later I will post images from a session at the Christmas Tree Farm!

{ Happy Birthday Miss "I" }

The first year of life flies by and before you know it your little baby is walking, talking, and not such a baby anymore. Little "I" celebrated her first birthday in the beginning of December. I have photographed her since she was in mommy's tummy, and I had so much fun watching her grow up. She was always happy and playful!

After her newborn photo session her parents were hooked, and they signed up for the "Year in the Life" Collection. This collection consists of 4 sessions within a year long period of time, and they chose to do 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. Some families with older kids use this collection to have pictures done every season! More information on this collection and others is on the website.

Back to beautiful "I", mom and dad bought a mini cake and I took some pictures while "I" touched it, played with it , and finally ate it :) Here is one of my favorite cake images, and I also threw in a story board of all her sessions...its fun to see how much they change in the first year!

If you have a newborn, give me a call to schedule your 3 month or 6 month session!

{ Model in the Making?... }

When I arrived at Baby C's house he was sleeping...and I hate waking a sleeping baby. So while I set up and mom and dad finished getting ready we let him sleep. Finally, mom decided to get him up. He woke up in the best mood! Within the first 5 minutes I had already taken over 100 images capturing all his different expressions and personalities :)

I can't wait to see him again on his 1st birthday!

{ Awesome Girls, Awesome Hats! }

Can I just say that the hat that this girl is wearing, is just about the cutest I have seen! I am addicted to hats, among other things for my little girl (shoes, bows, dresses, etc), so when I saw this hats, I fell in love...and it didn't hurt that the little girls wearing the hats were just as awesome and adorable.

Wow! A family of 4 little girls! They were all so photogenic, and the session went along perfectly with little to no crying. Enjoy!

{ You're Invited! }

Many don't know that before I fell in love with photography, I was in love with singing. I still am in love with singing, but I just don't have the time to sing anymore (other than in the shower or the car), and songs other than 'Wheels on the Bus' and 'ABC's'

So here is my invitation to you all! I would love to have you all at my Christmas Concert. It's great music, sure to get you in the Holiday Spirit!

If you have any questions, please let me know...Hope to see you all there!!

{ The 3 Brothers }

These 3 brothers and mom & dad, met me at the Arboretum for some fun! As you can imagine a family of 5 is a very energetic family. We ran, we jumped, we played in the leaves...but the kids had the most fun climbing trees. Although tree climbing makes for some great images, I was able to get them to pile on each other for this great shot as well!

{ Little Miss Princess }

Little Miss Princess was so smiley, right up until I took out the camera. But in the end mom, grandma and I were able to keep her happy enough to get these cute shots of her playing with her pearls and her adorable tutu. She also slept for a little bit too, and I was able to get some peaceful sleepy images as well.

By the way...the awesome hat she is wearing...more to come on this and where you can get one!

{ 2 Little Cuties at the Park }

A little known park, behind the zoo was the perfect backdrop for these 2 little cuties and their mom & dad! Brother and Sister could not have been more different...Sister loved being in front of the camera, but was very serious. Brother would not stop smiling! Both had a lot of fun playing in the leaves, swinging, and being together on the one of the last warm days of the Fall.

{ My 'Unofficial' Daughters }

I had so much fun at this photo session. I have watched these little girls grow up, and my son probably really thinks they are his sisters ;) For the past 3 years they have been joining my family for a few hours after school, eating snack, doing homework, etc.

I love having them over, as it is an extra set of hands for me. They play with my kids while I get dinner started, and the imaginative play they have taught them is priceless!

Anyway, back to the photo session, they are an awesome family, and they like to have fun, and I am so glad that I was able to capture their family is such a loving way.

{ Scenes From A Holiday Portrait Event }

Remember the first week of November? Warmer weather than we had in July! That was the weekend of the Holiday Family Portrait Event held in Verona this year. I always like to pick my favorite images to share, but keep in mind while you are looking at these images, that although everyone is wearing sweaters, etc. it was 70 degrees!! :)

{ More Fall Fun! }

I just cannot get enough of this georgous Fall weather! This family was thinking their November session would be cold, but they were all shedding their hats, coats, and mittens about 5 minutes afer we started. Jumping and running in the leaves is quite a workout!

Hopefully this fall weather will last until December and return again in January :)

{ Fall Portrait Party! }

Fall is such a great season...sometimes :)

This fall has been great for portrait sessions, warm and not a lot of rain.

This portrait party could have been held in the snow, but the weather was perfect! Not too much sun, warm weather, and there were still a few colorful leaves left. I love portrait parties because I can meet so many wonderful familes! This party was no exception...all the families were great, and I hope you all enjoy your images. Here are a few of my favorites...

Portrait Parties are a lot of fun! Familes get a great session for a reduced session fee, and the Host earns print credits towards their order just for hosting! For more information on Portrait Parties please see the website...or shoot me an email, I would be more than happy to answer any questions.

I am now booking for the 2010 Portrait Party Season, so contact me to schedule yours today!

{ Awaiting... }

This couple was so much fun to work with! In just a few weeks I will get to meet their little twins, and I cannot wait. I met them at the Agora Pavilion in Fitchburg, which I must say is a wonderful location for pictures. There are tall grasses, fields, paths, and a pond!

Mommy and Daddy-to-be, wanted something creative and unique for their pictures, so they put all their trust in me to create wonderful images for them. You may have noticed my new blog header...they are the couple in silouette (Love that image!).

There were so many great images that I could barley narrow it down to a few to post!

Introducing...Baby 'H'

Baby 'H' is the 4th little baby for this wonderful family! I love all these big families!! This is just one of my many clients who have 4 or more children. Soon enough I will be among these ranks as my husband and I plan on having a large family ourselves, however for the time being, I will get my baby fix when meeting all these beautiful babies :)

Baby 'H' slept pretty much the entire time, while from the basement we could hear shouts, laughing, screaming, and bangs from her 3 older siblings. Mom had bought a cute little hat and ruffle bottom, and Baby 'H' was a perfect little model.

{ Fall Family & Doggy Too! }

I had the pleasure of photographing this little girl a few times this summer, and this time I got to photograph her, her mom, her dad, and the doggy! This was the first time for me working with a dog member of the family. It was fun, and pretty much like working with a toddler :)

Their pictures turned out great..Enjoy!

{ What A Wonderful Weekend! }

Back in August, when I was planning a Holiday Portrait Event for November, did I ever imagine that the weather would be this georgeous!

I want to thank all the wonderful, fun, energetic families that met me on Saturday. Most of the families had all planned on wearing sweaters, hats, scarves, and because these were holiday portraits, were prepared to brave the cold, but Mother Nature had a different plan. Sweaters were worn and kids were sweaty. As soon as I said the words (We're all done) the kids had their sweaters off, and were running around in tank tops!

Sunday, another beautiful day, and once more I was able to work with some families who could not believe their good fortune of scheduling a November session with temps in the 70's. Ah, Wisconsin weather...it doesn't get much better. Let's all put this weekend in our memories, so that in a few weeks when the temp is below zero, and we are all shoveling our driveways, we can think back to this and really look forward to Spring!

I will have a ton of images to showcase here on the blog in the next few weeks, so keep checking back and enjoy the Fall!

{ Welcome to the World Baby "S" }

I had the pleasure of photography Baby "S" 's big sister when she was only a few weeks old, so I was very excited to meet and photograph 2 week old Baby "S".

He was oh so sweet, sleepy, and to his mom's delight, a mama's boy!

{ Another Beautiful Apple Orchard Session }

What can I say...Apple Orchards are the perfect setting for Fall sessions! The orchard gives the kids something to do, and the trees/barns/fields, are perfect backdrops. Little Miss "S" and her parents met me at the Orchard and we had a blast! One of the last warm days of Fall...

{ New Holiday Card Designs }

I am so excited to announce some NEW HOLIDAY CARD DESIGNS!
Christmas is my favorite time of year, and the recent cold weather, has really put me in the mood...therefore, I have been obsessed with designing holiday cards.

The original designs were very traditional, so I decided that I need to create some mod, trendy holiday cards as well. Hopefully now, there is something for everyone! Enjoy!!!

{ Baby "I" is 9 Months }

She just keeps getting bigger and bigger...what more can I say...

Baby "I" always has a smile for me, and her whole family is extremely photogenic! I see them all every 3 months, and pretty soon I will be taking her 1 year pictures!! Oh my, where does the time go?

For "I"'s 9 month session we visited the Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Patch, always a great place in the Fall. It was another beautiful day, and "I" had a lot of fun!
