{ Downtown....The Perfect Location! }

When you think of family portraits, you probably think of grass, and beautiful natural landscapes with flowers, trees, etc. Although nature IS beautiful, and makes for wonderful images...don't overlook the great urban scene we have in Madison.

Urban locations are becoming increasingly popular, and its no wonder why. For starters, urban locations offer great historic and/or older buildings with some great character and charm. Brick and stone looks so great as a background, and there is an abundance of that dowtown.

State St., Monroe St., and the Capital square are perfect locations for a hip, urban look for you images! Whether you are looking for family portraits, senior portraits, or babies, the urban look can be for anyone!

Below are some of my favorite urban images from downtown this Spring! Now, I understand that this look is not for everyone, but if your house is decorated with a modern contemporary style, this urban look may be for you!

You may remember these little girls...I have photographed them since Mommy's tummy!

Because I am behind on posts they are actually almost 5 months old now, but I still had to post these pictures. So cute, and never looking at me as the same time ;)

I am a little behind on posting client pictures, so to catch up, I am trying to create posting categories. This first post, are some of the babies I was lucky enough to meet the past few months. I can't wait to photograph all of them again at 6 months!

*Reminder - If you are preganant and would like to schedule a newborn session, call me at least 6 weeks before your due date, and we schedule a session for 7-10 days after your due date.

{ Mother's Portrait Event 2010! }

Are you ready for the Mother's Portrait Event 2010?!

{ Below are just some of the wonderful images from 2009 }

When: Saturday, May 8th, 9:00am-3:00pm

Where: Location TBD, but will be outdoors rain or shine...(last year it kind of rained) :)

Cost: $60...includes 15-20 minute session, 10 edited images to choose from, and private online viewing and purchasing gallery. Prints are purchased a la carte and are not included in the cost.
