{ Baby Expo-Free Session Winner }

Way back in Februaury, I was fortunate to meet many expecting and new moms at the Baby Expo. A few of those moms were lucky enough to win a Free Session! Baby "A" was one of those winners. She came a little later than expected, but I finally got to meet her last month, and get some great shots. Baby "A" loved being held, and hated the camera :)

After trying a few things to calm her down, mom brought in a fan, and the sound was just enough to relax her. She was content laying with her blankets and looking out the window with those big beautiful eyes.

This is why I LOVE newborn sessions...you never know what to expect, and the images always look gorgeous!

Some exciting events coming up!

1. Purple Goose Sidewalk Sale, Thursday & Friday, July 30th & 31st (10-6) and Saturday, August 1st (10-4). 3. Holiday Mini-Portrait Event! It seems early, I know, but the Holidays are just around the corner. Save the date!! On Saturday, November 7th, I will be holding a Mini-Portrait Event geared for those special Holiday pictures. More information to come in September.

{ Lot's of 1st Birthdays! }

Recently it seems as though all my sessions have been in celebration of 1st birthdays! They are all so cute, and so ready to get out on their own and explore, take those first steps, and show some personality.

Little Miss "T" was not enjoying the grass too much...

Mr. "G" had a blast taking some first steps on the pier, and then swinging with daddy...

And Mr. "D" had fun running in the opposite direction of me and his mom, until he found interest in the camera...

{ Ms. "C" - Senior }

Last year, I branched out to include Senior Photography, and I fell in LOVE with it. Don't get me wrong, I still love the babies, but with Seniors, they can follow directions :) Ms. "C" was so much fun to work with. She picked Tenney Park for her session location, and we could not have asked for a better day, a little warm already at 9:00am, but perfect!

She had a great smile, and a ton of fun ideas to try. She was also a really good sport when I asked her to try something that she thought was a little too creative or just plain wierd. Thanks Ms. "C" for a wonderful sesssion, and enjoy your Senior Year!

{ Pregnancy is Beautiful }

I love taking maternity portraits. Whether its the first child or tenth, there is a glow about soon-to-be-mommies, and they can't help but smile when they look at or touch their belly. These images always end up being very loving and emotional, and I get a lot of comments from pregnant mommies after seeing their pictures, that they were crying...I am not sure if it is the pictures or the hormones. Either way I love hearing that reaction, and that's why I do it!

{ TEAM Crocodile Smiles- Update }

I hope you are all training in preparation for this FUN event! So far we have 7 people signed up to be a part of TEAM Crocodile Smiles. I am hoping to have 20 members!!! So if YOU, or if you know someone who likes to run, wants to start running, or even hates running but does it anyway, just do it and sign-up.

You can do either the Half Marathon or 5K, and you do not have to be competitive, unless you want to be :)

{ Pettiskirt Princess Update }

There are only a few spots still available for the limited Pettiskirt Princess Event. If you are interested in scheduling your little princess for this timeless and classic event, please email me with your name, child's name & age, address, phone number and time preference. I will be in contact with you to confirm your time and answer any questions you may have.

Cost: $25 for a 20 minute session, 10-15 images to choose from, and private online viewing and purchasing gallery.

{ 3 Little Kids }

I have been really behind on posting sessions, so I am trying to catch up here...

This family invited me over to their house to tak some family and sibling shots, but I always do individual shots as well, because each member of the famiy had their own unique personality, and its my job to capture it!

After mom saw these pictures, she sent me an email telling me how great a job I did in photographing them. The oldest is more shy and proper, the middle child is bubbly and full of energy, and the youngest LOVES basketball :) I don't think I need to tell you which picture is of what child...

{ Another Great Portrait Party! }

A few weeks ago, my 1st official SpokesMOM, Kelly, had a Portrait Party for all her friends! She called me a few days before, very worried that she was only able to get 5-6 families to come. I reassured her that we would still have fun, and I couldn't wait to meet everyone. Then...the day before her party, she called again...now she was worried that she had too many families :) Kelly is the queen of talking me up, and she had scheduled 13 families to be at her party.

We had a blast!! Everyone was so nice, and so much fun to work with. Not one child cried the entire day, at least not while having their picture taken ;) Thank you Kelly for a wonderful day!

{ My Baby J is 3!! }

I cannot believe that my baby is 3 years old. My little fircracker was born on the 4th of July, so every year its a celebration! We biked in the neighborhood parade, went to the Capital to take some pictures, and then had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (his request).

His favorite presents were the movie "Horton Hears a Who", and the camera that I could not wait to give him. He is always trying to play with mine. I will have more pictures to come, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites right away...

{ Welcome Baby "H", and Happy 18 months "N" }

One of my best friends from high school just had her second little boy...and what a cutie!! Big Brother "N" was also celebrating 18 months, so we took pictures of both boys, mom, dad, and tried to include the dog. We fed the dog treats, and Big Brother cheese.

18 Months is one of my favorite ages to photograph. As you can see from the storyboard, this little guy was on the go, and had so much fun playing with his ball. After playing outside, we went into the nice air conditioning, and baby "H" snuggled up with this super fuzzy blanket, that his big brother was also photographed in as a baby!

Congratulations Mom & Dad your boys are adorable!!

{ Busy, Busy }

I just realized today, that I have not posted in a looong time, but I promise there are a ton of images I plan to showcase in the next week. I have been exteremly busy, what with Portrait Parties, One Year Olds, Newborns, and now Seniors 2010! Plus trying to plan for my son's birthday this weekend, yikes!!!

I promise I will be putting some of my favorite new images up, as well as my son's reaction to the present we got him...can't wait :)
