Have I mentioned how much I enjoy maternity sessions? Well, I LOVE them!!

Personally, I felt beautiful, happy, and excited when I was pregnant, and try to capture those emotions in all moms-to-be I photograph. This family was a blast to photograph, big brother-to-be was very cooperative and even helped hold up the background when I took pictures of just mom and dad!

I can't wait to take images of the baby in a few weeks...

{ Senior Portraits }

It's Senior Portrait Time!!!

Last year I branched out to include High School Seniors, and I loved it! So, this year I was very excited to start a Senior Model Program. I worked with some area Juniors to take some pre-senior season images, and they turned out awesome!

These two sessions could not have been more different, the first was shot in January near Olin Park about 20 degrees outside, and was very natural and all about nature and the season! The second, was shot in February on Monroe St. not nearly as cold, and was all about funky and fun!

I LOVE to try new things, and these girls tried everything I threw at them :)

{ 6 Month Old Cuties }

I love 6-9 month olds, they have cute facial expressions...they are usually happy and easy going...and my favorite, they can sit upright and scoot, move around etc, but they cannot run away :)

{ Crocodile Baby 2010 - (A Little Late) }

Congrats to our Crocodile Baby 2010...Baby A!

She was born the beginning of January, and she was the first baby I photographed in 2010 (yes, I am really far behind in posting). But, nevertheless, I am now trying to catch up, so here she is!

(Daddy plays the drums, so we had to throw the drum sticks in there) :)

{ Shamrock Shuffle }

Tomorrow is forecasted to be a great day for a run! Cloudy (dry) and temps in the upper 40's!

If you are looking for something to do...spend the morning downtown and run the Shamrock Shuffle. We do it every year, dress in green, get some fresh air and excercise - it's great! The race starts at 10:00 on State St. You can register in person, the day of, at the Overture Center.

If you see me...say "hi", my husband is running this year, so I will be cheering him on with the kiddos :)

Afterwards, there is a great party at State St. brats, and then of course the St. Patricks Day parade on the square. FUN DAY!

{ 2 Year old K }

Little K turned 2 in December, so I apologize, I am a little behind in showcasing pictures. She is such a cutie, she really made me work for some smiles...until mom brought out THE COOKIE. After that we couldn't get her to stop smiling :)

Her pictures were taken at the Museum of Contemporary Art on State St. which is a great location for indoor pictures...the light is great, and the kids love all the stairs to play on!

K's Mom is our 2nd official SpokesMOM. What is a SpokesMOM you ask? Well, its a mom who loves Crocodile Smiles Photography so much that they tell all their friends about it, they schedule multiple sessions a year, and they host at least one Portrait Party. I met K's mom last Mother's Day, and since then have taken numerous pictures of K, and have gotten to meet all of K's mom's friends thru a Portrait Party last Fall.

{ Good-bye Winter...Hello Spring! }

I don't know about all of you, but I am ready for the snow to melt, the flowers to bloom, and the grass to turn green!!

With Spring just around the corner, I am so excited...you may have noticed that the header now has spring images, and I will posting the Spring Newsletter very soon. How many more times can I say Spring...Wishful thinking :)
