{ Baby "C" & Big Sis "A" }

I met Big Sis "A" a few months ago and took some pictures of her and mommy's belly. Well now, Baby "C" has arrived! I am still in the process of editing the images, but I know Mom is excited to see them, so I wanted to show off a few.

Mom can't wait to see them all, as she has cleared an entire wall specifically to display these pictures. There are so many different ways to arrange and showcase your images! Here are some examples courtesy of Simplicity Photography Designs.

{ I Did It! }

Well, I did it. I ran the Madison Marathon (Half-Marathon) this morning. I am feeling it now, but I am glad I did it. Now I am in better shape for chasing after toddlers to get the best pictures!

My Official Time: I Finished! (I think it was around 2:19)

I did pretty well considering that I started training only 3 weeks ago :) This race got me thinking though, 1.) I am not looking forward to the Chicago Marathon in October, and 2.) I think that for my next race I will form a Crocodile Smiles Photography Team! Let me know if you are interested...more details later.

Have a great and safe Memorial Day!!

{ Sneak Peek of Baby "A" }

Here is a sneak peek of Baby "A". She traveled all the way from Reedsburg to have her photo session, and she was working it! All those smiles, all those silly expressions, and those 2 teeth...we managed to capture it all. Enjoy this little tease Mom and Dad, the rest of your images will be done soon.

{ Baby "J" }

Baby "J" really made me earn my keep. It didn't matter how silly daddy was being, she was not going to smile. Finally, we found some shade and she began to warm up...for about 10 minutes. Mom and Dad were so bummed that she was not smiling like usual, but I reassured them that even though it seemed like a lost cause, I got some great shots. And here is the proof!!

This is one of my favorite images from the session, and believe me it was hard to choose a favorite. In that 10 minutes, I was able to capture so many different expressions. It's not always about the smile, or looking directly at the camera, but capturing the child's personality. And Baby "J"'s personality certainly shone thru. Enjoy Mom & Dad!

{ Upcoming Events! }

I am so excited I just had to post about my upcoming portrait events. I am still in the planning stages, so I can't give too much away, but...you will definatley want to keep checking the blog as more details become available!

First Event... "Pettiskirt Princess" This portrait event will be for girls ages 6 months - 8 years. I will be purchasing some 'Belle Ame' pettiskirts for the girls to wear during the session. If you have never seen these adorable skirts, check out their website http://belleamepettiskirts.com
I have said too much already, so that will have to be it for now. (This event is scheduled for August, so I hope to have all the details available in the next few weeks)

Second Event..."All-American Athlete" Not to leave out the boys, this session is for you! I will supply some classic props, such as a baseball/glove, football, basketball, etc. (This event is scheduled for September)

Both these events are limited, meaning they are for ONE day only, and there is a limited amount of session slots. These portrait sessions are meant to be artisitc and unique, and will not simply be your child sitting posed in front of the camera. Keep checking back for more info!!

{ Mother's Day Portraits! }

Again, I want to thank all the Mom's and kiddo's who braved the less than ideal weather for the Mother's Day Portrait Event. Despite the wind, and rain, and cold, all the pictures turned out great...and I can't wait for you to see all of them.

I am currently working on setting up all the viewing galleries, but until then, here is a little preview of all the wonderful images, I am honored to have captured.

{ Happy Birthday Miss "L" }

Little Miss "L" just turned ONE!! It seems like just yesterday, I was photographing her mommy's tummy! I met Miss "L" and Mom & Dad at the Capitol on the most georgous day. The tulips were beautiful, and she looked so cute in her little pink party dress.

A little history on Miss "L"...she likes to be very serious whenever I am there to take her picture. We managed to get a few smiles before she became more interested in the Capitol steps than anything else.

Happy Birthday!!

{ SpokesMOM's }

I am excited to announce my new "SpokesMOM" Program! SpokesMOM's are my clients who LOVE their pictures so much that they go and tell everyone they know about me, they paste their images online where all their family and friends can see, they forward the website and blog to thier email address book, etc.

This new program will thank the SpokesMOM's who have campaigned for me and continue to do so. As a small business I rely greatly on all of your kind words as marketing.

How do you become a SpokesMOM? Simple. You do everything mentioned above, you are a return client, you have had at least 2 referral credits, and you LOVE your pictures. Easy, right?!

What do you get for being a SpokesMOM? Lots. You will get discounts on sessions, free prints, cute little books from your session, etc. Just a bunch of little things that add up to a big huge THANK YOU!!

Congratulations to Kelly...our first official SpokesMOM!! Kelly was one of my very first clients, and since then she had become a good friend, as well as a one woman marketing machine for me :) Most referrals mention her name, or at least know her! Just to give you an idea of how often I take pictures of Kelly and her family, I have seen them 3 times in the last year, and this summer she is hosting a Portrait Party!

THANK YOU Kelly for everything!!

{ Welcome to the World Baby "C" }

Baby "C" gave everyone a surprise and decided to come 2 weeks early, so when Mom emailed me wondering if we could move up the session we had scheduled I was a bit confused. Just a week earlier she had said she was not worried about scheduling later in May, as Big Sister "M" had been late. Well, Baby "C" could not wait to meet his new family, and espcially Big Sister "M", she was so motherly, and had no problem holding his hand and giving him hugs and kisses.

It was a beautiful day, so we decided to go outside and take some family pictures. Everyone was having fun, and I told them to do kisses and hugs, and then as soon as Mom and Dad snuck in a kiss, Big Sister "M" got so embarrassed. This is one of my favorite images from this session, as it totally depicts every child's reaction when they see their parents kiss!

{ Happy Birthday Mr. "O" }

Mr. "O" was smiling from the moment I got to his house to the moment I left! This little man had just celebrated his 1st birthday, and you could tell he was ready to assert his independence.

He wanted to read and look at books pretty much the entire session, so I positioned myself on the floor and got comfortable. You can see how the books had to be in the pictures too! The only time he gave up the books was to hold on to his lovey, and look out the window.

Mr. "O" was great to work with and I have a feeling Mom and Dad will have a very fun and busy year ahead of them!

{ Bright, Blue-Eyed Baby "C" }

Baby "C" had the prettiest blue eyes! They were so bright and beautiful. As a photographer, I live for babies and children with great eyes, it make all the images so captivating.

Baby "C" gave us some great shots at first and then it was naptime, so Mom, Dad, and I got creative trying to think of ways to get a few more smiles. Even big sister helped out by singing songs and bringing in some toys. In the end, Baby "C" fell asleep. She must have just been exhausted from her modeling debut :)
